Dr. Samina Malik appointed as Rector of International Islamic University Islamabad

Dr. Samina Malik has been appointed as the Rector of International Islamic University Islamabad by the President of Pakistan Dr. Arif Alvi.

According to the media reports, formal notification for the appointment of Dr. Samina Ahmed has been issued. The notification said that President Dr. Arif Alvi appointed Dr. Samina as the Rector of International Islamic University Islamabad.

The reports further stated that President Dr. Arif Alvi conducted interviews with the three candidates sent by the search committee last month for the selection of Rector. These three candidates included Dr. Samina Malik, Dr. Muhammad Ilyas, and Dr. Muhammad Tahir Khalili. All three candidates belonged to International Islamic University Islamabad.
