The father and daughter have made history by taking PhD degrees on the same day in the convocation of University of Engineering and Technology, Peshawar (UET).
According to details, the Assistant Professor of University of Engineering and Technology, Peshawar, Dr. Masood Khan has received his PhD degree from Mechatronics Engineering Department and his daughter Dr. Nadia Masood Khan received her PhD degree from Electrical Engineering Department.

On the occasion, Dr. Masood Khan has said that due to some family responsibilities he didn’t complete his PhD degree on time but he is proud to get his PhD degree in the same convocation with his daughter Dr. Nadia.
The Assistant Professor has urged the people not to discriminate between sons and daughters but to support them equally. He said that getting a PhD degree is not an easy task but his daughter worked hard and she got rewarded for her hard work.
In her remarks, Dr. Nadia Masood Khan has said that it is not easy to get a PhD degree but her parents supported her a lot and she was able to get the degree with her father, which is a pride for her. She also urged parents to support their children.
