PM directs to monitor availability of sugar and flour

The government is making every effort to provide relief to the people, the Prime Minister Imran Khan has said, adding that he is himself is monitoring the situation closely. He said now the economic indicators are moving right direction the government is making all possible efforts to transfer the benefits to general public.

According to media reports, the Prime Minister has made these remarks while chairing a meeting in Islamabad on Thursday, to review steps regarding price control and availability of essential commodities. He directed that availability of sugar and flour be constantly monitored and advance arrangement for future needs be ensured.

Imran Khan also directed for timely arrangement of supply of imported sugar to different parts of the country. However, he has stressed to easy the process of approval of Projects to facilitate investors.

Meanwhile the Premier also chaired the weekly meeting of National Coordinating Committee for Housing, Construction and Development in Islamabad on Thursday. The Association of Builders and Developers informed the meeting that 74 projects have been approved in Sindh Province with a total cost of 28 billion rupees while 4714 projects have been approved in Punjab since July 2020.

The Prime Minister has directed that action be taken against the officers who are involved in unnecessary delay in the approval process.
