PM Kakar bans New Year celebrations in Pakistan in solidarity with Palestine

In an expression of solidarity with the oppressed people of Palestine, Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar has banned organizing all kinds of New Year celebrations in Pakistan.

According to the details, Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar expressed his views regarding New Year celebrations in Pakistan in a special video message today (Friday, December 29). He also appealed to the people of Pakistan to observe simplicity on the advent of the New Year to express solidarity with the oppressed people of Gaza.

According to the prime minister, the Israeli soldiers under occupation are inflicting destruction in Palestine. He declared that the killing of innocent Palestinians, particularly children, is a crime against humanity that grieves the whole Muslim Ummah and the nation of Pakistan. He claimed that since October 7th of this year, over 21,000 Palestinians—roughly a thousand of them were children—have perished at the hands of Israeli brutality.

PM Kakar said Pakistan has raised its voice for the oppressed people of Palestine at all international fora and will continue to do so in the future as well. He added that Pakistan has dispatched two consignments of relief goods to help its Palestinian brothers and sisters. He said that the third consignment will soon be dispatched. He said Pakistan is in constant contact with Egypt and Jordan to ensure timely assistance to Palestinian brethren as well as evacuation and treatment of the injured from Gaza. He also prayed that the New Year may bring peace and prosperity to Pakistan and the entire world.
