Nilofar Bakhtiar calls for transforming education system to address social issues

Nilofar Bakhtiar – the Chairperson of the National Commission on the Status of Women – has said that transforming the education system to integrate solutions for the prevention and mitigation of emerging issues of Gender-Based Violence is the only strategic way to combat these deep-rooted social issues.

According to the media reports, Chairperson of the National Commission on the Status of Women Nilofar Bakhtiar made these remarks while addressing a function about the issues of Gender-Based Violence and gender disparity in education organized by the Elementary and Secondary Education Department, Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in Islamabad today (Friday, December 29).

The reports further stated that the title of the project was ‘Gender Mainstreaming & GBV for Human Capital Investment Project (KP-HCIP)’ to mitigate GBV and violence against children in 1000 schools in 13 districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
