Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar – the Caretaker Prime Minister of Pakistan – has formally launched PTV’s Hazaragi transmission to promote the cultural diversity of Balochistan.

Addressing the launching ceremony of PTV’s Hazaragi transmission in Quetta today (Tuesday, December 19), Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar expressed the commitment to take measures for the promotion and welfare of the languages, artists, and artisans of Balochistan. He said that the world only knows the natural gas discovered in Sui as well as the gold and silver in Sandak, but Balochistan’s real treasure is its history, culture, and civilization.

The Caretaker Prime Minister has said that the ancient Mehar Garh civilization was known for its agriculture, herd rearing, and dentistry when most of part of the world was uncivilized. He said today another language of Balochistan is going to get recognition at the national level through PTV Hazaragi transmission. The development of media channels in Balochistan, especially television and radio, is amongst his government’s priorities for which all possible assistance will be provided.

Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar emphasized the importance of efficient communication and stated that media may be used to showcase the positive parts of our linguistic, cultural, and social diversity and progress. National pride, according to him, is urgently needed. He stated that this fact is well known to the interim government. To do this, he stated, the government will keep helping Pakistan Television and other national networks.

Pakistan is a federation, according to the prime minister, and its strength is found in its diversity of languages and cultures. He mentioned that the languages spoken by the inhabitants of Balochistan are Hindko, Pashto, Saraiki, Punjabi, Sindhi, Balochi, Bravi, and Hazargi. He mentioned the rich history of Hazargi and the Hazara community in Balochistan. He declared that he is ecstatic to present PTV Bolan’s inaugural Hazargi show today. According to him, the Hazara community has long demanded that Hazargi be promoted.

The Prime Minister named the “Waday Hazargi” event in honor of the Hazara community’s martyrs, recognizing the contribution of the Hazara community to the nation’s progress. He said, “Unity is the key to defeating terrorism.”
