Security and Safety of the UN Peacekeepers – A two-day Ministerial meeting of UN Peacekeeping Missions – kicked off at the Center for International Peace and Stability in Islamabad today (Wednesday, August 30).

According to the media reports, the two-day Ministerial meeting of UN Peacekeeping Missions titled “Security and Safety of the UN Peacekeepers” began with the national anthem.

The meeting paid rich tribute to those who were martyred while performing duties during the UN peacekeeping missions. Besides the Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir, the Caretaker Ministers for Foreign Affairs and Defence, the Under-Secretary General of the UN Department of Operational Peace and Support and diplomats belonging to different countries will attend the meeting.
