Pakistan Baseball League (PBL) will start on September 6, 2023, in Islamabad under the auspices of the Pakistan Federation of Baseball (PBF).
According to the media reports, the inaugural edition of the Pakistan Baseball League (PBL) will roll into action on September 6. Tahir Mehmood, the tournament’s director and finance secretary for the Pakistan Federation of Baseball (PBF), said that two men’s teams and as many women’s teams will compete in the event. He said that the men’s matches would be between Quetta Kings and Peshawar Eagles. Quetta Kings will be led by Inayat Niazi, while Peshawar Eagles will be led by Fazal Khan.

The women’s matches would feature Islamabad Stars and Lahore Royals, according to Tahir Mehmood. Sudra Dogar will captain Lahore Royals, while Shazia Javed will captain Islamabad Stars. He said that all elite national and international (men and women) performers from Pakistan would participate in the competition. The federation had the full backing of the Pakistan Sports Board to conduct the competition honorably.
“We are grateful to the Director General of PSB Shoaib Khoso for facilitating us to hold the event,” he said, adding that the training camps for men and women players involved in the league are already underway at Pakistan Sports Complex Islamabad.
