UN expresses deep concern over Iran’s missile attack inside Pakistan


The Secretary-General of the United States, Antonio Guterres has expressed deep concern over Iran’s missile attack inside Pakistan.

According to the media reports UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres expressed his views regarding Iran’s missile attack inside Pakistan in a statement issued today (Thursday, January 18). He strongly called for restraint and avoidance of further escalation amid increasing tensions between the two neighboring countries. He also called for respect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of all states.

On the other hand, the Caretaker Federal Minister for Information, Broadcasting, and Parliamentary Affairs, Murtaza Solangi said that the government has lodged a protest with the authorities of Iran over an unprovoked violation of its airspace, confirming that the illegal move is under investigation. He said Pakistan would take appropriate measures while keeping the relevant international laws in view, especially regarding the sovereignty of the state.
