World Children’s Day: Pakistan committed to taking steps for Children’s Rights

World Children’s Day: A delegation of children nominated by the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) and representing four provinces, as well as Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir, met with President Dr. Arif Alvi in Islamabad.

In honor of World Children’s Day, the children discussed many concerns and obstacles they encountered, as well as their aspirations and plans for the future.

While talking to the children, President Dr. Arif Alvi said that Pakistan was committed to taking steps for the rights and well-being of children.  He said that measures were being taken to equip children with education, skills, and training.

The President of Pakistan further stated that children with disabilities needed to be provided inclusive education in regular schools to make them part of the mainstream society, besides equipping them with skillsets to help them find employment in the market.
