PakSat MM1 – Pakistan’s 2nd communication satellite – reaches its earth orbit on June 5

PakSat MM1 – the second communication satellite of Pakistan – reached its earth orbit on June 5.

According to the Spokesperson of Pakistan Space and Upper Atmosphere Commission (SUPARCO), PakSat MM1 – launched on May 30 by Pakistan’s National Space Agency SUPARCO – is located at an altitude of 38,786 km above the earth. The satellite is in earth orbit at 38.2 East.

With the newest communication technology, the five-ton second communication satellite of Pakistan will contribute to the nation’s fastest internet service. The satellite’s solar panels have begun to function since it entered orbit.

The Spokesperson of the Pakistan Space and Upper Atmosphere Commission said that various tests will be performed on the satellite to check the condition of the satellite in orbit.
