The Federal Minister for planning, development, and Special Initiatives, Ahsan Iqbal has expressed Pakistan’s commitment to achieve sustainable development goals that are aimed at dealing challenges of poverty, global food insecurity and water scarcity.
According to details, the Planning Minister has expressed his views in a video message after concluding the meeting of High level Political forum at the United Nations in New York.

Ahsan Iqbal has urged the leaders of world nations to adopt the same spirit for implementing SDGs. He said Pakistan is the first country that announced sustainable development goals as it’s national goals. Similarly, our vision 2025 also included the SDGs in its agenda.
The Planning Minister has said that the conference has revitalized our commitment for the implementation of SDGs in Pakistan. We have also suggested that Pakistan wants to hold a review meeting of G77 this year, he added.
