The Vice Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and former Foreign Minister, Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi has said that Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar is neither Zardari’s choice nor PMLN’s.
According to the media reports, PTI Vice Chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi made these remarks during a show on a private news channel today (Saturday, August 12). He expected that Anwaar-ul-Haq will fulfill his responsibilities as caretaker Prime Minister of Pakistan according to the constitution. He also hoped that Kakar will not adopt the attitude of the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) and will direct the protection of the fundamental rights of every citizen.

On this occasion, Shah Mehmood Qureshi asked the host during the conversation, do you think that the important decisions of the country will be made by Raja Riaz? Kakar is not the choice of the 2 major parties of PDM, adding that the same would have happened if the matter had gone to the Election Commission of Pakistan. However, Qureshi expects that Kakar will conduct free and fair elections as caretaker Prime Minister.
PTI Vice Chairman said that it was possible to conduct constituencies and elections on time, why was the CCI meeting not called earlier? He said that the People’s Party says that elections should be held in 90 days, PML-N says that there is no problem even if the elections are postponed by a few days. If the credibility of the election is questioned, the country will not get political stability. If there is no political stability, there will be no economic stability either, he added.
