Asad Qaiser calls on regional countries to prepare a framework for an effective cooperation

The Speaker of National Assembly, Asad Qaiser has said called upon the regional countries to prepare a framework for an effective cooperation.

According to media reports, the National Assembly Speaker was addressing the inaugural session of a two-day second General Conference of the Parliamentary Assembly of Economic Cooperation Organization in Islamabad on Tuesday.

On the occasion, the NA Speaker has emphasized the need for greater cooperation amongst the regional countries to address the issues of poverty and illiteracy. He said we have to benefit from the region’s geographical location for the development.

Asad Qaiser further stated that the railway track under China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) will be beneficial for entire Central Asian region. He said Pakistan believes in peaceful co-existence but resolution of Kashmir dispute is imperative for durable peace in the region.

The Speaker has said that Pakistan will continue to extend moral, political and diplomatic support to the Kashmiris until they achieve their legitimate right of self-determination under the United Nations (UN) resolutions.

“Pakistan desires peace and stability in Afghanistan,” he added.
