Barrister Gohar Ali Khan – the senior lawyer and central leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf – has once again been elevated to the chairmanship without facing any contest within the party.

According to the media reports, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) central leader Barrister Gohar Ali Khan was once again promoted to the Chairmanship without a battle within the party today (Thursday, February 29) following the nullification of its previous intra-party votes by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).

According to the party’s statement released today, Omar Ayub Khan, the PM-designate, was also voted as the Imran-founded party’s central general secretary without any opposition.

As no candidate stood up to challenge them, Dr. Yasmin Rashid, Ali Amin Gandapur, and Haleem Adil Sheikh were among the party leaders who were elected without opposition to lead the party in Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Sindh, respectively.

The internal party election for the position of president of Balochistan will be conducted in Quetta by the former ruling party. It further stated that the official announcement of the final findings is scheduled for March 3.
