The bench resolved to send a notice to the recently appointed KP CM Ali Amin Gandapur, who was elected after winning his home constituency of Dera Ismail Khan in a provincial election, in a brief order that spanned two pages and was released after the hearing. The petitioner, Muhammad Kafeel, argued in his appeal that Asif Khan was the true owner of 735 Kanal of land that was temporarily transferred in the name of Gandapur in Mouzah Girah Muhabbat and Muzah Rohri, Kulachi, district DI Khan.

In the petition, he made it clear that, by Gandapur’s assurance, he was the property’s apparent owner while Khan was its only and exclusive owner. On Khan’s request, the KP chief minister was expected to return it. The petitioner claimed that Gandapur had admitted to using the money he got from the sale of 735 Kanals of land to buy a Toyota Land Cruiser, model number YB-777, in liabilities papers submitted for the year 2020 and officially publicized. Additionally, he argued that Gandapur was unable to hold the position of member of the provincial assembly due to this incorrect statement.

It is pertinent to mention here that Ali Amin Khan Gandapur was elected a member of the KP Assembly from PK-113, DI Khan, in the general elections of 2024. He was subsequently elected as chief minister of the province. His name was selected for the slot by the party’s founder chairman Imran Khan.
