The father of Sheikh Bander Baleelah – Imam and preacher of Masjid Al-Haram – a prominent religious scholar, passed away.

According to the media reports, the father of the Imam of Masjid Al-Haram Sheikh Bander Baleelah died early morning today (Tuesday, August 8) after a brief illness. His funeral prayer will be offered in Masjid Al-Haram after the Zuhr prayer, after which the burial will take place in Mullah Cemetery.
It is pertinent to mention here that Sheikh Baleelah has many honors. Since 2013, he has been the imam and speaker of Masjid al-Haram, Makkah. In addition, he is an assistant professor at Taif University and an expert in Islamic studies.
