Foundation University Convocation: Alvi emphasizes more women should join workforce

The President of Pakistan, Dr. Arif Alvi has addressed the convocation of Foundation University in Islamabad today (Tuesday, October 3).

According to the media reports, President Dr. Arif Alvi said at the convocation of Foundation University that more women should join the workforce after completing their education. He said responsibility rests with the state to provide women protection against harassment.

On this occasion, Dr. Arif Alvi pointed out that about twenty million children are out of school and every segment of society should come forward to address this issue. He said Pakistan requires graduates in all disciplines including medicine and engineering. He however stressed the importance of creating opportunities for them within the country to prevent brain drain.
