International Day of Family Remittances 2023 is being observed across the globe, including Pakistan, today (Friday, June 16).

According to the media reports, this Day is a universally-recognized observance adopted by the United Nations General Assembly and celebrated every year on the 16th of June. International Day of Family Remittances 2023 is observed around the globe to pay homage to migrant workers.

The reports further stated that Family Remittances Day is observed to pay tribute to millions of migrant workers who send money home to their family members in the form of remittances.
