Israel: Deputy mayor’s daughter Zahra Hanif killed in car bombing

A 28-year-old daughter of the Arab deputy mayor of Shefa-‘Amr Israel, Zahra Hanif has been killed in a car bomb blast.

According to media reports, when rescue officials arrived at the scene after the bombing last night, flames were rising from the vehicle.

Zahra Hanif, who was killed in the blast, was a social activist who spoke out on women’s rights and issues in the Arab community.

According to police, an explosive device was planted in the vehicle. They said that this is a premeditated plot of murder, no arrest has been made so far.

Deputy Mayor Faraz Hanif said, “I am a famous public figure. I have always helped people without any hesitation. I never thought that I would ever be the victim of riots.”
