The three suspects in the journalist Jan Muhammad Mahar murder case were handed over to police by the anti-terrorism court of Sukkur on a 6-day physical remand.

According to the media reports, the hearing of the case of journalist Jan Muhammad Mahar’s murder case murder was held in the Anti-Terrorism Court today (Thursday, August 24), where the three accused were presented. The accused were produced in the court on completion of a 6-day physical remand.

The law-enforcement institution said that 11 days ago journalist Jan Muhammad Mahar was shot dead.

It is pertinent to mention here that a case of the murder of senior journalist Jan Mohammad was registered in Sukkur on August 15. The case was registered under the Anti-Terrorism Act in the Police Station C Section on the complaint of the brother of the slain journalist.

According to the Sukkur police, a case of murder of journalist Mahar has been registered against 6 named and 3 unknown persons. Journalist Muhammad Mahar used to raise his voice for the poor people, which the influential people were afraid of, according to the text of the case.

The influential people threatened and wanted to divert my brother, Jan Muhammad Mahar was targeted and killed, the FIR added.
