PM pays homage to martyrs by renaming IJP Road as Captain Kernal Sher Khan Avenue

The Prime Minister of Pakistan, Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif paid homage to the martyrs by renaming IJP Road as Captain Kernal Sher Khan Shaheed Avenue.

According to the details, this was stated by the Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb in a statement on the social networking website Twitter today (Wednesday, June 14).

Information Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb further stated that the unparalleled courage and valor of Captain Kernal Sher Khan Shaheed was even acknowledged by the enemy. She said it is a message to those who damaged the memorials of martyrs on 9th May that we respect and honor our martyrs.

It is to be mentioned here that the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif inaugurated various development projects in Islamabad. He inaugurated Captain Kernal Sher Khan Shaheed Avenue formerly known as IJP road and Seventh Avenue Overhead Bridge on Srinagar Highway besides performing ground breaking of Eleventh Avenue.

While addressing the ceremony in connection with the inauguration of these projects, PM Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif regretted that the poor performance of the previous government of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf delayed the execution of important development projects. However, he said that they have accelerated work on them, and work on the ongoing projects in Islamabad will be completed by next month. He also announced that an electric bus service will be launched in Islamabad for which the buses will reach by the 15th of next month.
