PTI March Islamabad: Khawaja Saad Rafiq – the leader of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz- has warned Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) that if the attack and siege on Islamabad does not turn into a peaceful protest, it will have consequences.

According to the media reports, PML-N leader Khawaja Saad Rafiq expressed his views regarding the PTI march to Islamabad in a statement today (Tuesday, November 26). He said that the catchy slogans of change, freedom, rights, and democracy are meant to fool the people.

Khawaja Saad Rafiq further stated that catchy slogans of freedom have been used to fool the people to get rid of the power. He said that those who build and overthrow governments with the collusion of state institutions have nothing to do with freedom and rights.

It is our national mood not to learn anything from hardships, trials, mistakes, or difficulties, the parties are acting following this mood, he said, adding that instead of dealing with terrorism in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, its government’s attack on the federation is worrying.

It is pertinent to mention here that the Pakistan Army has taken control of D-Chowk Islamabad as PTI protestors led by Imran Khan’s wife Bushra Bibi inch towards the vicinity to stage a sit-in. The federal government authorized the army’s deployment in D-Chowk Islamabad by invoking section 245 early Tuesday morning, following a violent demonstration by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) that crushed four ranger personnel beneath their vehicle in Islamabad.

The Ministry of Interior has issued a notification authorizing the army to help local authorities in maintaining law and order. The announcement also authorizes the army to enforce curfews wherever required to combat anarchy. The army has been given the authority to shoot anyone who violates the law or causes damage to state facilities.
