Ramadan moon sighted, holy month to begin tomorrow in Pakistan

The Chairman Central Ruet-i-Hilal Committee Maulana Abdul Khabeer Azad has announced that the moon of Ramadan has been sighted in Pakistan and the holy month will begin from tomorrow (Sunday).

According to details, the Central Reut-e-Hilal Committee has made the announcement from Peshawar on Saturday where the Chairman Maulana Abdul Khabeer Azad was chairing the meeting to sight the moon.

The zonal committees of the central body met in Lahore, Quetta, Karachi and Islamabad. The Islamabad and Lahore zonal Ruet-i-Hilal Committees had reported to the central body that they have sighted the moon in their respective cities.

The moon was expected to be sighted as the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) had said that the chances of sighting the moon was “highly likely”.
