Kunwar Naveed Jamil – the leader of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Pakistan leader and former member of the National Assembly – died in Karachi.
According to the media reports, the news has been confirmed by the MQM Pakistan Spokesman. He said that Kunwar Naveed Jamil was suffering from a brain hemorrhage for several months, and the former member of the National Assembly was in a coma for several months. He said that the MQM Pakistan leader was undergoing treatment in a private hospital.

Convener of MQM Pakistan Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui has expressed deep sorrow and grief over the death of Deputy Convener MQM and former Member of Provincial Assembly Kanwar Naveed. He said that with the death of Kunwar Naveed, the movement lost a senior and sincere leader who endured all the hardships while being associated with the movement and remained steadfastly connected to the movement.
MQM leader Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui further stated that in this hour of sorrow, we share the grief of Kanwar Naveed Jameel’s family. Sindh Governor Kamran Tesori has also expressed grief over the death of Kanwar Naveed Jameel.
It is pertinent to mention here that Kunwar Naveed was elected as Nazim of Hyderabad District in 2005, a Member of the National Assembly in 1990 and 2013, Member of the Sindh Assembly in 2002 and 2018.
